Vital Values

Our values shape our behaviour towards customers, as well as one another, and guide the way we do business each and every day. It is with these values that we go about our work every day, striving to offer the best service to our customers and to each other.

To provide guidance to all employees on how best to live our values, Johnson Controls offers an education program that reinforces the Vital Values - Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Accountability - and offers courses on the policies and procedures outlined within the Guide to Ethical Conduct. We believe that by offering the right tools and resources, we will enable all employees to conduct business the right way, all the time.

Zero Harm

Our vision is to provide products and services to in a safe, responsible manner that respects the health and safety of our employees, the environment, our customers, shareholders and the communities in which we operate.

All Johnson Controls employees, managers and supervisors as well as contractors are responsible for understanding, promoting and implementing this policy and the accompanying operating principles.

All managers and top management visit our construction sites regularly to take the responsibility for this topic which is most important to us. 

Women’s Growth Network

The Johnson Controls Women’s Growth Network (WGN) is an established network for both female and male leaders and professionals that any employee can join from across the globe.

Our goal is to champion the value, growth and advancement of women in the workplace to accelerate exceptional business performance.

Our Objectives:

  • Drive cultural change and encourage the recognition of the necessity for diverse and innovative management
  • Develop a dynamic networking and leadership development platform for Johnson Controls women worldwide
  • Interconnect networks across regions sharing best practices and knowledge
  • Connect female professionals with a national local network that is connected to a regional / global network to drive awareness and personal development for women

What We Do:

  • Create a network of local WGN chapters that are interconnected
  • Encourage the clear purpose and objectives of the WGN to local networks
  • Identify role models highlighting and promoting women’s success stories
  • Sharing best practices across the globe

Diversity and Inclusion

Johnson Controls Integrated Fire & Security Continental Europe is a great example of a diverse region with an inclusive environment. Our diversity commitment is fully integrated with all aspects of our company and underlined as a key business strategy reflected in the day-to-day operations and communities we serve. We also attend conferences and recruiting events sponsored by associations that represent diverse populations.

We know that a diverse workforce and inclusive culture will help us to achieve business goals which is why we’ve developed a plan to support Diversity and Inclusion in Continental Europe. This focuses on the following elements:

  • Appointment of Diversity and Inclusion Country Champions in Continental Europe
  • Organisation of "Country Inclusion Circles"
  • Establishment of the "Best Company" concept and what it means
  • Identification and support of a diverse event at country level
